The Board
of Directors of The Stateless in Bangladesh and Pakistan most sincerely
seeks the forgiveness of their fellow human beings who have been persecuted
for the last 33 years in Bangladesh and in Pakistan. We apologize
for not having made any concrete efforts to help you obtain justice
in either country. We will do all we can to alleviate your pain and
suffering in every way possible. All these years you were never far
from our thoughts and prayers. Only Allah holds dominion over all
that is on earth and in heavens. We seek divine assistance for accomplishing
our mission. We cannot promise anything except that we will make tangible
efforts every day to help you.
Our heads hang in shame on the actions of our fellow citizens and
political leaders in Bangladesh and Pakistan. History will long remember
this injustice to citizens of Pakistan in both countries, and it is
incumbent upon all of humanity to redress this wrong. |
